EMOM means “every minute on the minute”: at the start of each minute, you do a set number of repetitions, then rest until the next minute begins.
The faster you finish your repetitions, the longer you rest. EMOM is popular in cross-training to keep a steady pace over 10 to 20 minutes.
| Step | Duration |

| Get ready | 10 seconds |
| Effort at the start of every minute | 1 minute |
| Minutes | 10 |

Frequently asked questions
How do I do an EMOM?
Choose an exercise and a number of repetitions you can finish in 30 to 40 seconds. At each beep, start a new set; the rest of the minute is your rest.
How long should an EMOM last?
Ten minutes is a good start. Increase the number of minutes rather than the repetitions as long as you keep good form.
Is interval training safe?
Warm up first, start at a moderate pace and stop if you feel pain or dizziness. High-intensity training is not suitable for everyone: if you have any doubt, ask a doctor. This timer is not medical advice.
