Exam clock with extra time
An exam in several rooms? Start it everywhere at the same time
To compute one-third extra time, add a third of the exam length: for 3 hours, 1 more hour, so 4 hours. The clock does it for each group and shows every end time.
Enter the start time, the length of the exam and the groups (standard, one-third extra time, extra minutes). The big display shows the current time and, for each group, the end time and the time left, as well as the time students may leave. A pause for an incident moves every end time at once.
| Exam length | With one-third extra time |
|---|---|
| 1 hour | 1 hour and 20 minutes |
| 1 hour and 30 minutes | 2 hours |
| 2 hours | 2 hours and 40 minutes |
| 3 hours | 4 hours |
| 4 hours | 5 hours and 20 minutes |
Frequently asked questions
How do you compute one-third extra time?
One-third extra time adds a third of the exam length: 1 hour becomes 1 hour 20 minutes, 2 hours become 2 hours 40 minutes, 3 hours become 4 hours. The result is rounded to the minute.
What happens during an incident?
“Pause (incident)” stops the exam for everyone: every end time and the time students may leave move back by the length of the pause.
Does it work without internet?
Yes: once the page is open, the clock keeps working offline, and the exam is kept on the device if the page is reloaded.
Are students’ names entered?
No. Only groups are entered (standard, extra time); nothing about the students is recorded.
