Try “10 minutes for pasta”, “wake me up at 7”, “start a pomodoro” or “tabata”.

Privacy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

Miniteur works without an account and without cookies (if you create an account, a single essential cookie keeps you signed in). Your timers, settings and statistics stay on your device. We measure traffic anonymously and receive technical error reports; you can turn off either one at the bottom of this page.

Data controller

The data controller is Evisibility Sarlau.

For any question about your data: contact@miniteur.com

Data kept on your device

To work, Miniteur stores in your browser the state of your timers, your settings (sound, volume, notifications, appearance), your tasks, your Pomodoro and meditation session history, your privacy preferences and the days of your last visits (so installation is only suggested from the second one). Pages you have opened are cached so they work offline.

Alarm sounds you import are kept the same way, in this device’s browser, and are never uploaded.

This data never leaves your device. You can erase it at any time from your browser settings (site data).

Audience measurement

To learn which pages and tools are useful, we count page views and actions in the tools (start, finish…). Each measurement records the page, the language, the device type (phone, tablet or computer), the display mode (browser or installed app), the name of the referring site and the country, derived from the connection by our host.

No cookies, no identifiers: we cannot recognize you from one visit to the next, nor follow you on other sites. Your IP address is never stored. Measurements are kept for 3 months in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine.

Sometimes two versions of a text or a layout are compared (A/B tests): each page view draws one of them at random, and the measurement says which one was shown. Nothing is kept on your device for this.

This measurement follows the conditions of the CNIL consent exemption for audience measurement. It is based on our legitimate interest in improving the site, and you can object to it below.

Google Analytics (with your consent)

If you accept, Google Analytics 4 measures traffic: pages viewed (address without its parameters), visit length, device and browser type, referring site and approximate country. It sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_ followed by the site’s ID, for 13 months at most.

The provider is Google Ireland Limited; data may be transferred to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Advertising signals and ad personalization are turned off, and Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Detailed data is kept for 14 months at most.

This processing relies on your consent, asked on your first visit. You can withdraw it at any time below: Google’s cookies are then deleted. Your choice is kept for 13 months, then you are asked again.

If you create an account

An account is optional. If you create one, we keep your e-mail address, the dates your account was created and last used, the link to your Google account if you sign in with Google (its identifier only, never your other Google data), and the version of this policy you accepted.

Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and are erased within a day; a session ends after 30 days without a visit. The data is stored with Neon (PostgreSQL database, European Union region) and sign-in e-mails are sent by Brevo (France). A single cookie, essential to the service, keeps you signed in; there is no other.

If you ask for the weekly recap, we use your time zone and your focus sessions to write it every Monday. It is never on by default; you can stop it in one click from the e-mail or from My time.

Legal basis: providing the service you ask for. You can delete your account at any time from the Account page: everything linked to it is erased immediately.

Browser extension

The Miniteur extension keeps its timers in your browser (extension storage) and sends nothing to us: no account, no measurement, no access to the pages you visit. It only asks to set alarms, show notifications and store its timers.

Notifications and installation

Notifications and installing the app go through your browser’s permissions, which you can withdraw at any time. The tools’ notifications are shown by your device; only reminder notifications, if you create reminders, are sent by our server through your browser’s push service.

Voice commands

If you turn on hands-free mode or dictation, speech recognition is done by your browser: depending on the browser, the sound of your voice is sent to its publisher (Google for Chrome, Apple for Safari) to be transcribed, under its own rules. Miniteur neither receives nor keeps the sound or the text: the command is understood on your device. Your agreement is asked before the first use and kept on your device; you can withdraw it from the hands-free button.

Premium and payment

If you subscribe to Premium, payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy, the official reseller (Merchant of Record): it collects your payment details, VAT information and invoices under its own privacy policy. Miniteur only receives the subscription status, plan and dates, linked to your account. We keep them as long as the account exists.

Organizations (schools, companies)

If you create or join an organization, we keep its name, its logo, its members (their accounts) and their roles. To invite someone, the owner enters their email address: we send them a single invitation email and keep the address for 7 days at most, until the invitation is accepted, cancelled or expired. The logo is public: it is shown on the shared rooms created by members. A member can leave at any time; deleting the organization deletes all of this.

News (optional)

If you ask for news on the Account page, we send you a few messages a year about Miniteur, by email and, on devices where notifications are on, by notification. We keep this choice with its date, and the country deduced by Cloudflare at that moment, to send messages about your country. Each message sent is recorded (sent or failed) for 90 days. You can stop at any time from the Account page or with the link in each email.

Widget on other websites

A Miniteur widget shown on another website works like our own pages: no cookies, no identifiers, nothing kept on the device. We count how often it is shown and on which website (its domain name, given by the browser), and the tool events, without knowing who is looking. The website that shows the widget is responsible for informing its own visitors.

Hosting and transfers

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, United States). Cloudflare and Sentry process this data on our behalf in the United States; these transfers are covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object. Since we keep no data that identifies you, we cannot find the measurements that concern you; for any question, write to us. You can also contact the data protection authority of your country: the CNDP in Morocco, the CNIL in France.
