Which noise should I choose?
Brown noise, deep and soft, suits long work sessions. Pink noise is a good middle ground. White noise masks voices best but sounds brighter. Rain and waves add a slow, natural movement.
Does it keep playing in another tab?
Yes, as long as the page stays open. On iPhone and some Android phones, the sound stops when the screen locks: that is a limit of the browser.
How loud should it be?
Just loud enough to cover the noise around you. Keep a moderate volume, especially with headphones or near a sleeping baby, and place the device at a distance.
