Daylight saving time: the next clock changes

Exact dates and times of the 2026 and 2027 clock changes in 13 countries, computed with the IANA time zone database, and a countdown to the next change where you are.

The countdown shows the next clock change in your time zone: the date, the exact time, whether clocks go forward or back, and the change after that. The tables give each country’s dates. Everything is computed with the IANA time zone database, the one phones and computers use.

Frequently asked questions

When do the clocks change?

In the European Union, on the last Sunday of March (clocks go forward one hour) and the last Sunday of October (clocks go back one hour). In the United States and Canada, on the second Sunday of March and the first Sunday of November. The table gives each country’s exact dates.

Does my phone change time by itself?

Yes, if it sets the time automatically: it follows the same time zone database. An alarm set for 7:00 rings at 7:00, new time. Only watches and clocks without automatic setting need changing by hand.

Where do these dates come from?

From the IANA time zone database, updated whenever a country changes its rules and used by phones, computers and browsers. No date is typed in by hand.
