Frequently asked questions
Does the timer ring if I switch tabs?
Yes. The countdown is calculated from the exact end time, so it stays accurate in a background tab. When time is up, the alarm rings, the tab title flashes and, if you allowed it, a notification appears.
What happens if my computer goes to sleep?
Nothing can run while a device sleeps. As soon as it wakes up, the timer rings and shows how long ago it finished.
Can I set an end time instead of a duration?
Yes: type “until 5:30 pm” or “until 17:30” in the field below the timer.
Do I need an account?
No. The timer works right away, and your settings are saved in this browser only.
