Frequently asked questions
Is the widget free?
Yes. A small “Open in Miniteur” link stays inside the widget; the link below it is optional.
Does the widget track the visitors of my site?
No. No cookies and no identifiers: Miniteur only counts how often the widget is shown and on which site, as it does for its own pages.
Does the sound work in the widget?
Yes, once the visitor has clicked the widget (a browser rule). System notifications are not available inside a widget.
Can I put several widgets on the same page?
Yes: each one keeps its own countdown.
Does a holiday countdown update every year?
Yes: it always aims at the next date, and for Ramadan and Eid, at the date confirmed for the chosen country.
Can I show the timer during a live stream on Twitch or YouTube?
Yes: choose “Live, in OBS or Streamlabs”. The background is transparent, with no buttons and no ads; the “Miniteur” mention can be hidden.
Does the Pomodoro run on its own during the stream?
Yes: live, focus sessions and breaks follow each other without a click, at the lengths you chose. If the source is refreshed, the cycle starts over.
